How to Setup Your Company to Receive Exchange Email
1. Change the MX records for your domain (domain admins only).
- Primary / priority = 0; Server Name = mx1.MSExchangeOnline.com
- Secondary / priority = 5; Server Name = mx2.MSExchangeOnline.com
- Create the following CNAME for your domain: autodiscover.yourdomain.com
- Point the autodiscover CNAME to ADR1.MSExchangeOnline.com
- Create the following CNAME for your domain: webmail.your domain.com
- Point the webmail CNAME to webmail.MSExchangeOnline.com
2. Set Outlook 2007 AutoConnect Configuration and WebMail Configuration
- Download Outlook 2007 if necessary
- Request license key from support@msexchangeonline.com.
- Get the latest Outlook 2007 updates and patches here.
- Configure Outlook 2007 for MS Exchange Online™
- Download the Outlook Setup Tool to automatically configure Outlook to your Exchange mailbox. Take all defaults during the installation. During the login prompt, login with your full email address (username@domain.com).
3. Change MX records to redirect mail through our spam filters (domain admins only).
- Check to make sure your domain is receiving mail.
- Set MX records to final configuraton:
- Primary / priority = 10; Server Name = yourdomain-com.relay1a.spamh.com
- Primary / priority = 20; Server Name = yourdomain-com.relay1b.spamh.com
- Primary / priority = 25; Server Name = mx1.msexchangeonline.com
- Primary / priority = 30; Server Name = yourdomain-com.relay1c.spamh.com
4. You can now access your email via Outlook 2007 or the web (webmail.yourdomain.com).
5. Add new users via your control panel and complete step 2 of this process for each new user.
